Spa Therapist

Position Summary:

The Spa Therapist is a passionate wellness professional dedicated to delivering exceptional spa and wellness experiences through genuine care, technical expertise, and personalized service. Every treatment is performed with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail, creating memorable moments that promote relaxation, restoration, and well-being.

In line with LQA standards and the Rixos luxury service philosophy, the Spa Therapist consistently anticipates guest needs, builds meaningful guest relationships, and exceeds expectations through authentic hospitality, discretion, and service excellence. The role requires flexibility to provide operational support to the Spa Reception team when necessary, while maintaining treatment delivery as the primary responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience

• Deliver every treatment with passion, care, confidence, and professionalism.

• Personalize each treatment based on guest preferences, wellness goals, and consultation findings.

• Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, intuitive service throughout the guest journey.

• Build genuine rapport while respecting guest privacy and confidentiality.

• Create memorable experiences that encourage guest loyalty and repeat visits.

Treatment Excellence

• Perform massage therapies, facials, body treatments, hammam rituals, and wellness experiences according to brand standards.

• Maintain exceptional treatment quality, hygiene, safety, and presentation at all times.

• Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment and restore them after every service.

• Ensure all equipment, linens, and treatment products meet luxury presentation standards.

• Deliver discreet, personalized, and refined service to VIPs, Royal Family members, executives, celebrities, and other distinguished guests.

• Remain calm, confident, and solution-oriented when managing demanding guest expectations.

• Demonstrate emotional intelligence, professionalism, and confidentiality in every interaction.

Retail Excellence

• Recommend retail products and wellness programs based on guest consultation and treatment outcomes.

• Educate guests on home-care routines to extend treatment benefits.

• Support departmental retail objectives through genuine, guest-focused recommendations.

Operational Support

• Provide support to the Spa Reception team during peak periods or operational requirements, including welcoming guests, assisting with bookings, or responding to guest enquiries as directed.

• Work collaboratively with the reception team to ensure a seamless and consistent luxury guest experience.

• Maintain effective communication with all departments to support smooth daily operations.

Professional Standards

• Maintain the highest standards of grooming, professionalism, and luxury hospitality etiquette.

• Participate in training, daily briefings, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

• Comply with all health, safety, hygiene, and company policies.

• Contribute positively to a collaborative, respectful, and guest-focused team culture.

• Previous experience as a Message Therapist preferred
• All professional licenses are to be current
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Highly responsible & reliable
