As our Chef de Partie, you’ll take ownership of your section and help deliver the quality, consistency and creativity that make Parklands Social – NY Deli & Grill a great place to dine.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Taking responsibility for the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes across your section.

• Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, portion control and presentation.

• Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, menu execution and new ideas.

• Ensuring food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are always maintained.

• Managing stock rotation, food storage and preparation to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.

• Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to keep service running smoothly.

• Supporting and guiding junior team members, sharing your knowledge and helping build a positive kitchen culture.

• Contributing to a kitchen environment where teamwork, communication and a genuine passion for food come first.

About you

You’re a hands-on chef who takes pride in your work, enjoys the buzz of a busy kitchen and understands that great food starts with great teamwork.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous experience in a Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role.

• A genuine passion for food, quality ingredients and consistent presentation.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your section during busy service periods.

• A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe kitchen practices.

• The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards.

• A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.

• A willingness to learn, share ideas and support the development of others.

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as required.

• Certificate III in cookery
