    Job Description

    Join the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise as a Banquet Supervisor, where you’ll lead a dedicated team in delivering flawless events in one of Canada’s most breathtaking settings. With a focus on luxury service and seamless execution, you’ll ensure every occasion—from elegant weddings to corporate retreats—exceeds guest expectations.

    Hourly Wage - $26.87

    What You'll Be Doing

     

    • Supervise, and coordinate the activities of servers, bartenders, and conventions staff
    • Execute proper function management and floor coverage
    • Ensure room is set up in accordance with the requested requirements
    • Plan and coordinate event details with kitchen, stewarding and catering
    • Implement sequence of service, conduct pre-shift briefings and relate all pertinent information with staff
    • Uphold staff appearance and grooming policies
    • Supervise and assist with personalized service to enhance guest experience
    • Ensure standards are enforced through diligent follow up of all functions
    • Direct staff in maintaining clean, tidy and organized back of house service areas
    • Maintain communication with function organizers before, during and after all services
    • Coordinate any changes with kitchen and stewarding and communicate guest satisfaction and concerns that may arise
    • Communicate with Royal Service and other relevant departments regarding any concerns or deficiencies
    • Promote a high level of department morale by: coaching and counselling of line staff and ensuring the clear and accurate communication of hotel and department policies, news and events.
    • Ensure accurate billing of BEO’s for AM and PM functions
    • Ensure that all financial reporting is maintained and accurate
    • Creating and updating Event front sheets and Daily Houseperson sheets
    • Ordering and maintaining the liquor pars
    • Updating and maintaining the Food and Beverage Plan
    • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager and or Assistant Banquet Managers
    • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
    • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
    • Carry out any other tasks as assigned

    Qualifications

    • One year Food & Beverage experience required
    • Previous Food & Beverage or Banquet leadership experience preferred
    • Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
    • Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
    • Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
