Fairmont Breakers is a beloved feature of the Long Beach skyline, a historic landmark with a character and soul of its own. Originally opened in the roaring twenties as a lavish hotel on the waterfront, Breakers was a sought-after destination for world-famous stars. Following an extensive renovation, Fairmont Breakers returns as Long Beach’s only luxury hotel, restoring one of California’s most storied properties to its original grandeur. It offers 185 boutique rooms and suites; a rooftop pool and terrace; an open-air rooftop lounge with views of the Pacific; a blissful two-story spa, wellness and fitness center; dining venues and bars including a live jazz club; and 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space. Whether exploring the comforts of elevated coastal Italian cuisine in Nettuno or dining among the stars with champagne and caviar in Sky Room, Fairmont Breakers aims to delight all of your senses with artful surroundings and innovative offerings from our culinary team.
- Identify and qualify potential leads through research and following the hotel sales strategy and goals.
- Create and maintain customer relationships to achieve optimum market share. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their group requirement.
- Active prospecting and solicitating to drive leads and eventual revenues to the property.
- Support sales efforts of the property through travel, sales calls., attendance at industry events and Familiarization experiences
- Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to showcase our hotel’s facilities, services, and offerings to prospective clients. Always maintain product knowledge including all relevant rate structures and promotional offers.
- Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with clients while ensuring alignment with hotel policies and revenue objectives, prepare and conduct proper site inspections. Tracking the contract signing and payment within the stipulated deadlines.
- Work closely with the events, catering and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and exceptional guest experiences.
- Build and maintain strong positive relationships with the Accor Global Sales team, the Meet Long Beach team and other key referral partners.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. Adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast sales revenue accurately. Provide regular reports and updates to Director of Group Sales.
- Provide guidance and support to the sales team fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- At least two years of experience in hotel sales or equivalent industry experience, preferably in an upscale or luxury brand hotel. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of sales skills, ability to understand customer requirements and translating these into sales solutions and revenue management.
- Track record meeting or exceeding sales goals and developing long term relationships and contacts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Windows Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and able to utilize traditional software programs such as, Opera
- Exceptional interpersonal skills required.
