Job Description

  • Act as the primary leader in the absence of the Executive Chef, taking full responsibility for the overall operations of the kitchen department
  • Spearhead the efficiency of kitchen operations by streamlining processes, minimizing waste and implementing sustainable practices to align with organizational objectives
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of all dishes, maintaining impeccable service standards while ensuring adherence to recipes and the highest level of culinary excellence
  • Supervise and uphold compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards, ensuring all food storage, handling, and preparation practices meet stringent protocols
  • Manage food costs effectively by controlling store requisitions and purchases, ensuring the timely availability of quality ingredients while supporting budgetary goals
  • Showcase leadership through a commitment to traditional cooking methods and the use of premium local ingredients to deliver bold, vibrant flavours that enhance the dining experience

Qualifications

You will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Chef De Partie or Chef De Partie in a large-scale, 5-star hotel environment, with proven leadership capabilities
  • Confidence and experience in managing a fast-paced production kitchen, including Buffet and À La Carte services, while maintaining exceptional standards
  • The capability to work across all sections of the kitchen, including functions, pastry, hotline, saucier, entremets, and larder, demonstrating versatility and expertise
  • Dedication to mentor emerging chefs, committed to sharing knowledge and fostering talent to shape the future of the hospitality industry
  • A positive, proactive attitude under the pressures of service, inspiring confidence and efficiency within the team
  • An innovative and detail-oriented mindset, consistently introducing creative ideas to elevate the guest dining experience and enhance culinary operations
