Job Description

We're restructuring our commercial team, and we're looking for a driven, ambitious leader who can energise our people, align with our culture, and help shape the future of our hotel.

The Opportunity

As the head of department for our Sales & Marketing team, you'll be a key member of the leadership team, driving commercial strategy across sales, marketing, digital and communications.

Your mission: position us as the southeast suburb's top choice for business, meetings, and leisure, and build the momentum to get us there!

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where your leadership will directly influence overall performance and team culture during an exciting period of transformation.

What You'll Do

  • Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute sales strategies across corporate, leisure, and Meeting and Event segments | Solicit and convert key accounts to achieve revenue targets | Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals | Build strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and planners | Represent the hotel at trade shows, roadshows, and events | Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and FAM trips

  • Marketing, Digital & Communication

Develop and implement marketing and PR plans aligned with Accor standards | Manage digital presence, social media, and online campaigns | Coordinate promotional content and ensure brand consistency | Build partnerships with local businesses, tourism bodies, and media | Drive revenue-generating campaigns and initiatives

  • Revenue & Performance

Collaborate with Revenue Manager on pricing, channel strategy, and positioning | Monitor competitor activity and market trends | Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and business planning


Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in hotel sales, though we welcome ambitious professionals ready for their first leadership opportunity, we are here to support your growth!
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate, leisure, and MICE segments (regional experience preferred)
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities
  • Familiarity with CRM, Accor tools, and digital marketing platforms is advantageous
  • Mindset: Results-driven, strategic, creative, detail-oriented, and someone who leads with energy and heart
