Job Description

Revenue Analyst is responsible for working with the hotel team to determine and maximizing profit. The successful Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize and be a team player in a collaborative environment, work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing Department to support the overall revenue goals of the hotel with the ultimate goal of promoting revenue growth generation among the hotel’s outlets while simultaneously supporting the hotel. The role is responsible for data analysis, providing gathered intelligence

This position will develop and analyze pricing and revenue management strategies to maximize overall profitability in the Hotel Operations

Responsibilities

  • Monitor key indicators of outlet performance, establish benchmarks, develop strategies to maximize revenue, and evaluate results.
  • Operationalize pricing strategies to maximize revenue in alignment with demand factors and the hotels strategic vision.
  • Collaborate with team in the development of training and incentive programs to increase average check and colleague engagement while maintaining consistently high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize occupancy and maintaining the hotel and venues’ positioning as a destination.
  • Support in evaluating group business to ensure we are maximizing revenues in both guest rooms and food & beverage.
  • Propose and implement strategies to maximize the utilization of function space and its contribution to total hotel revenue.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments and identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to evaluate potential partnerships and develop strategies.
  • Prepare materials for weekly Revenue Meetings
  • Champion the Groups Revenue Management program within the hotel and actively promote a culture of total revenue management.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of required reporting including but not limited to month-end commentary, strategic planning of budget and analysis of the performance of multiple outlets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in rooms revenue management (experience within 4 or 5 star hotels, award-winning restaurants, multiple outlets, banquets and catering, and/or within similar markets preferred)
  • Knowledge of current trends in Leisure (familiarity with Cancun market preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strategic thinking with a proven ability to mobilize theory into action
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under time constrain
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new programs as required

Preferred:

  • Proven track record of maximizing F&B revenue
  • Understanding of hotel management and operations
  • Previous hotel operations experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in a role with data analysis
  • Pricing and/or revenue management experience
  • Good knowledge of Avero, Opentable, Opera, Opera Sales & Catering, and IDeaS revenue management.
