Job Description

The Recreation Attendant is responsible for providing excellent service to guests using the hotel’s recreational facilities. This includes monitoring pool and fitness areas, facilitating activities and events, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and assisting with equipment and guest needs. The goal is to ensure a fun, safe, and memorable experience for all guests.

  • Provide unique experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast paced environment.
  • Ensure a positive first impression of the pool for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all wellness & recreation services, activities, amenities and hotel services/features
  • Up-sell and promote wellness & recreation offers at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue.
  • Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set the pool according to standards and procedures
  • Enforce safety rules and facility policies in a courteous manner.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Recreation Supervisor or Engineering.
  • Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel

Qualifications

  • Previous experience at least 1 year in hospitality, recreation, or guest services preferred.
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language; other languages is advantage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in fitness, lifeguarding, or recreation is a plus.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required depending on facility (e.g., lifeguard certification for pool attendants).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors or in active environments.
  • Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
