Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our hotel's supply chain management, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of goods and materials.

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders
  • Inspect the physical condition, count, and measure all items upon receipt
  • Complete daily receiving reports for various departments, including Food & Beverage and General items
  • Maintain up-to-date files of receiving copies for all approved purchase orders
  • Ensure all deliveries are received at the designated receiving area and properly documented
  • Collaborate with store, accounts payable, and purchasing departments for smooth operations
  • Assist in conducting regular inventories (daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly) as needed
  • Follow all local and corporate policies and procedures, including HACCP and hygiene standards
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or damages in received goods
  • Stamp, date, and process invoices according to company procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and inventory management systems
  • Physical ability to stand and walk constantly throughout the shift
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
