Company Description

We are looking for an ambitious PR Director to lead the North American, LATAM & Caribbean region at Ennismore. The position will play a vital role in the company, responsible for creating the PR strategy and plans for all Ennismore brands, hotels and restaurants across the region. 

Based in New York and reporting to the VP of North America and VP of LATAM & Caribbean, you will ensure all our properties and openings remain top of mind and highly respected by having killer market media and partner connections, considered opening strategies, and bold and engaging PR ideas that support Ennismore’s mission to create the world’s most innovative hospitality brands.


Job Description

What you'll do...

  • Develop and lead a PR strategy which enhances the reach and reputation of Ennismore’s hotels & restaurants in the Americas region, ensuring PR campaigns and resulting coverage support each brand story and growth ambitions. 
  • Directly support on-property PR or Marketing leads in the region to ensure PR is continuous and supporting both rooms and F&B commercial needs. Close relationships with properties will be essential to ensure we are delivering strong coverage driving talkability on an on-going basis. 
  • Direct and evaluate the property PR spend on agencies, media events and influencers – setting up reporting standards to ensure we are getting the best return on investment. 
  • Take ownership of launching new hotels & restaurants in the Americas from a comms perspective, by researching and selecting new property PR agencies, delivering media strategies and building strong partner and influencer relations.  
  • The PR Director will own all key media & influencer relations in the US market while also overseeing and coordinating the PR strategy across all countries in the region. You will own and maintain relationships with key journalists across travel and F&B – this role isn’t globally supported by an agency for all brands, so relationships with press and influencers are paramount to ensure the brands are always top of mind.  
  • Deliver high-quality coverage that communicates the USPs of our hotels and restaurants to differentiate ourselves from market competitors. Work closely with brand and marketing teams to ensure activations have appropriate PR angles, partners or narratives to achieve these goals. 
  • You will have the responsibility for curating global PR stories for SLS, Delano, 21c and Park Royal ensuring each brand continues to grow awareness. 
  • Ultimately, drive higher awareness for brands and individual properties and restaurants that leads to an increase in organic direct traffic to our own websites and contributes to revenue goals. 
  • Seamlessly integrate PR with the overall brand and marketing strategies, ensuring business objectives are always prioritized, and advise teams on how ideas can be elevated through PR.  
  • Work closely with Brand & Culture teams for thought-out influencer marketing strategies and brand partnerships across platforms. 
  • Work closely with our global corporate comms team to ensure campaigns for our brand position us as respected and responsible and be able to manage any crisis comms that may arise.  
  • Provide insightful reporting for the leadership teams stakeholders and on-property teams, through monthly reports and project wrap-ups to evaluate the success of projects.  
  • Add value to the brands through knowledge and sharing of travel trends, hospitality, and culture. 

Qualifications

  • A people person with a thick black book of media, influencer and partner contacts across travel, F&B, design and lifestyle in the US market. 
  • Someone who’s organized and creative – this role is responsible for the PR across multiple brands and many projects, so must be good at juggling! 
  • A great communicator – you will be responsible for communicating and gaining trust with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • A collaborative, culturally intelligent leader with experience managing and motivating cross-border teams, aligning regional efforts to global strategy, and driving high performance across diverse markets 
  • Someone with experience managing PR agencies across different cultures. 
  • Someone with a passion for storytelling that can hone the best narrative for our brands. 
  • A brand guardian – ensuring brand stories are refined and reflective of our brand values and strategy. 
  • A strong writer with the ability to draft and edit exciting press releases that engage and excite media. 
  • A creative campaign thinker – from ideation to delivery - capable of translating ideas and visions into a reality. 
  • Someone proactive and able to work independently but likes being sociable & collaborative too. 
  • Someone who loves to think strategically but also has an eye for detail.
