Job Description

The Pool Experience Attendant will assist in delivering exceptional pool experiences to guests, ensuring safety and satisfaction by greeting guests, providing towels, arranging seating, always supporting the server and bar staff and maintaining pool area cleanliness. Also assists in the maintenance of the Pool Deck, Terrace Deck area and equipment.

  • Greet guests warmly as they arrive and depart, understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely manner, and ensure customer satisfaction by working with Food and Beverage Managers when necessary.
  • Escort guests to their chairs, assist with lounge setup, and ensure a courteous and professional interaction at all times, including describing menu items, taking and serving orders, and managing guest checks.
  • Set up and breakdown umbrellas, cabanas, and pool areas daily, maintaining cleanliness and order according to health and safety regulations.
  • Perform routine opening and closing duties including preparing and folding towels, stocking linens, and setting up service stations.
  • Walk through all assigned areas to remove and replace dirty towels, service trays, glasses, and empty trash receptacles.
  • Expedite the service of food from the kitchen to guests, manage beverage refills, and ensure bars are stocked to appropriate levels.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service 
  • Procedures / standards.
  1. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended.
  2. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  3. Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  4. Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  5. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  6. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  7. Maintain complete knowledge of pool deck and terrace deck layout, storeroom locations and kitchens.
  8. Answer Private Dining and Pool phone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
  9. Complete opening side duties as assigned:
  10. Check quality and amount of Pool Towels and supplies using checklist.
  11. Requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to Pool.
  12. Check cleanliness and condition of all equipment for use in Pool area, rectify any deficiencies.
  13. Ensure all flowers and decorative items are free of trash.
  14. Fill water dispenser place on bar top
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all service areas, guest rooms and guest corridors.
  • Complete closing side duties:
  1. Properly store all reusable goods.
  2. Breakdown all goods.
  3. Clean all equipment as assigned in the side duties.
  4. Restock items for next service.
  5. Remove all dirty linen; fold towels.
  6. Empty Trash Cans
  7. Align table, chairs, and pool furniture
  8. Sweep pool and terrace deck
  9. Ensure all flowers and decorative items are free of trash
  10. Requisition all necessary supplies and transport to Pool
  11. Check quality and amount of Pool Towels and supplies using checklist.
  • Empty and clean water dispenser leave in IRD area

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 16 years of age, not allowed to serve alcoholic beverages
  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Previous experience in Hospitality
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Previous guest relations training.
  • Compute basic arithmetic.
  • Provide legible communication.
  • Ability to:
  •   perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

  •   be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement.
  •   follow directions thoroughly.
  •   understand guest’s service needs.
  •   work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

  •   maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
