Established in 1991, Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Istanbul is a five-star luxury hotel nestled in the historic gardens of Dolmabahçe Palace in Beşiktaş. Covering 65 acres, the hotel has been awarded the Safe Hotels Executive Certification from 2016 to 2024.

Job Description

    • Has complete knowledge of the menu.
    • Is required to attend all training sessions assigned to them.
    • Assists with table arrangements when necessary.
    • Ensures that served dishes are at the correct temperature.
    • Sets up tables properly as needed.
    • Makes sure that food is served at the appropriate temperature.
    • Responsible for keeping cutlery and glassware spotless.
    • Prepares for service before it begins.
    • Assists guests with pulling out their chairs when seating them.
    • Maintains proper handling of clean and dirty equipment, ensuring they do not mix or get carried on the same tray.
    • Does not stack products improperly and ensures proper storage organization.
    • Ensures that consumables, silverware, and other equipment are stored separately and is responsible for maintaining proper storage conditions.
    • Checks and maintains the cleanliness of the assigned station.
    • Provides efficient service to guests in accordance with service standards.
    • Before serving food, inspects its presentation, temperature, and portion size to ensure it meets the standards.
    • Reports all minor or major incidents to the manager.
    • Keeps up to date with relevant legal regulations and complies with all applicable procedures.
    • Performs any other duties assigned by management.
    • Carries out duties in accordance with Swissotel Istanbul’s rules and procedures.

    Qualifications

    • The candidate must prioritize guest satisfaction and consistently deliver high-quality service.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills are required to interact with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
    • The ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential.
    • Attention to detail is crucial to ensure that all food and beverages are served at the correct temperature and meet presentation and quality standards.
    • Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to handle guest requests and resolve any service-related issues promptly.
    • Effective time management is required to ensure that orders are prepared and served without delays.
    • The candidate must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to varying work schedules and shifts.
    • A solid understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations is necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Compliance with workplace safety regulations and adherence to company policies are expected at all times.
    • Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or cafés is preferred, though training may be provided for candidates without experience.
    • Basic English proficiency is an advantage, particularly for communication with international guests.
