Job Description

To perform administrative duties such as clerical work, filing, typing, and answering telephone calls and to provide services and coordinates with other departments for any work assigned (both related and not related). Ensure product quality standards are met, meanwhile delivering a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life.

Job Description:

  • Maintains working area and equipment in a proper state of cleanliness and repair
  • Maintain regularly housekeeping inventory
  • Maintain adequate stock levels
  • Complete stock takes as required
  • Receive, record and keeps in order all housekeeping various reports and files
  • Make Room Attendant  task assignment and check/ updated room traces
  • Responds promptly and politely to guest telephone inquiries, noting details and following up accordingly
  • Responsible for entering accurate room status into computer daily and print out of the Opera system for the room discrepancy report by afternoon and ensure to submit a copy to Accounts and Front Office  
  • Maintains and update administrative data (RA schedule/Training schedule)
  • Handle all issues pertaining to Lost & Found – receiving, recording, storage, claiming and clearing
  • Maintains key control and walkie-talkie
  • Complies with hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policies and adheres to conduct personal grooming and hygiene standards
  • Controls guest supplies & cleaning supplies
  • Keep and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the Housekeeping Office and store
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as required
  • Adheres to Housekeeping standards and procedures and enforces same
  • Arrange baby-sitting for guests and prepare attendance sheets for the payroll
  • Maintains good relations with Housekeeping staff and other interfacing departments, in particular Front Office and Engineering
  • Clarifies own job responsibilities and looks for opportunities that will increase skills and job knowledge
  • Develop/update skills and knowledge (internally or externally) to reflect changed technology or changed work requirements
  • To have complete understanding of the hotel’s employee handbook and adhere to the regulations contain within
  • Meet hotel attendance and grooming standards

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent plus 1 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to speak and writing in English
  • Proficient with MC, Opera and Microsoft Office
  • Luxury Experience will be advantage
