Job Description

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for hospitality and operational excellence? We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of Novotel Malta Sliema. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who can inspire teams, anticipate guest needs, and deliver a seamless hotel experience that exceeds expectations.

As Operations Manager, you will collaborate with department heads, ensure high standards across all areas, and drive strategies to enhance both guest satisfaction and business performance.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take responsibility for the hotel’s daily operations, leading teams across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Guest Services to ensure efficiency, consistency, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies that ensure exceptional guest experiences.

  • Work collaboratively with all department managers to oversee smooth daily operations.

  • Plan and organize housekeeping, catering, and other operational activities.

  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and appropriately.

  • Establish and maintain standards for staff performance and customer service.

  • Maintain full knowledge of hotel operations, including rates, policies, specials, VIP guests, and events.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels across departments.

  • Review employee behaviour, appearance, and performance.

  • Conduct daily operational meetings to ensure coordination across all teams.

  • High level of responsibility, accountability, and integrity.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.

  • Previous experience in hotel operations or a similar leadership role is highly desirable.

  • Ability to motivate teams, adapt under pressure, and deliver consistent results.
