About Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill
The Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is located on the central city fringe, just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane River, Suncorp Stadium and public transport. Overlooking the city skyline and Roma St Parklands, the Hotel features 179 spacious guest rooms with generous open-aired balconies, modern amenities, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and an alfresco-style restaurant and bar.
As a Guest Service Agent with Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, you have the opportunity to provide a warm and welcoming experience for our guests. Your personalised greeting, care in guest room selection, and knowledge of the Hotel will ensure our guests have a lasting memory of their visit.
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Follow Front Office policies, procedures and service standards
- Welcome, check-in and check-out guests
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Efficiently handle all guest queries and requests
- Promptly and pleasantly handle phone calls and guest messages
- Ensure that the Front Desk is appropriately supplied and stocked at all times
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Relevant work experience in the hospitality/service industry is required, preferably hotels
- Prior experience working with Opera/Opera Cloud and MS Office Suite is desired
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively in a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Flexible availability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
