Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Guest Service Associate (GSA) - Front Office to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. As the face of our hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences from check-in to check-out.

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests, providing a friendly and professional first impression
  • Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and empathetically
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and events to assist guests
  • Process reservations, room assignments, and billing accurately
  • Manage cash transactions and reconcile accounts at the end of each shift
  • Collaborate with the front office team to ensure smooth operations and excellent service
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • Adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Hotel Management Graduate / Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication abilities in English; multilingual skills are a plus
  • Proven experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and reservation systems
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Basic accounting and cash handling abilities
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and front office procedures
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Additional Information

  • Responsible for daily administration, meeting and greeting, dealing with guests’ queries and complaints, and booking rooms. visitors
  • Maintain high standards of customer services at the Reception desk so that customers’ expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Motivate and develop Reception team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
  • Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management.
