SO/ is a coveted collection of hotels rooted in the world of fashion, commanding attention with it’s avant garde design and creative approach to the world of luxury.

SO/ Maldives is paradise re-imagined. A contemporary take on the island resort with a statement collection of beachfront and over-water villas with panoramic views of the turquoise Emboodhoo Lagoon.

We are now looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team.

What you’ll do…

• Lead your hotel management team in the successful operation of SO/ Maldives.
• Take full responsibility for the commercial success of the property.
• Make sure our brand standards are properly brought to life in how we ground the brand in the local market & neighbourhood.
• Lead by example in creating a brilliant experience for our guests that exceeds their expectations and builds a great reputation.
• Make our own people a real focus, creating an environment where they feel supported, have opportunities to grow, and enjoy what they do!
• Play a key role in managing the relationship with the central teams and owners.

What we'd like from you:

• You are an experienced, commercially savvy operator and have prior experience in a similar role.
• You are an excellent relationship builder, with previous experience of owner relationships.
• You are comfortable with the strategic as well as day to day detail.
• You are a natural at leading and managing others, and you lead by example, creating an environment where your team can be their best self.
• You want to question the norm and create change by doing things differently.
• You’re grounded, we leave our egos at the door and approach everything with an open mind.
• Maldives experience is a must.
