In addition to a variety of accommodation options, the properties boast two restaurants with one of those due to re-open soon fully renovated, a fitness centre, and versatile conference and meeting facilities. The resort’s prime location, combined with a range of amenities, provides an exciting and fast-paced work environment, in a newly revitalised, growing destination. 

We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to oversee the operations of the Novotel, Mercure, and ibis Darwin Airport Hotels & Resort. As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing a talented team, ensuring seamless operations across all properties, and driving profitability. You will oversee the strategic direction, inspire exceptional guest experiences, and maximise operational results while maintaining strong relationships with owners, stakeholders, and guests. You will also lead the opening of the fully refurbished restaurant due to open in May, providing an enhanced dining experience for guests. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished hotel professional who thrives in a leadership role. As General Manager, you will be responsible for: 

• Leading the management and strategic direction of the Novotel, Mercure, and ibis Darwin Airport Hotels & Resort. 
• Developing an engaged leadership team to deliver operational excellence across all hotels. 
• Driving revenue growth through effective yield management, strategic marketing initiatives, and maximising the guest experience. 
• Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, guests, and suppliers. 
• Ensuring long-term profitability and sustainability across the hotels. 
• Fostering a positive, inclusive team culture that reflects the Heartist values and promotes growth and development within the team. 

A qualification in hotel management, hospitality management, business administration, or a related field would be highly regarded. 

About You 
To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Previous experience as a General Manager, preferably overseeing a portfolio or a cluster of hotels or a large scale resort operation. 
• Proven experience in strategic management, with the ability to drive market performance and achieve business objectives. 
• Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on developing, mentoring, and motivating teams. 
• Strong ownership relationships and the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders. 
• A track record of achieving operational excellence and maximising profitability. 
• A deep passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring a high standard of customer service.
