Job Description

Bistro Suzette, a delightful French-inspired bistro located in the heart of Brisbane, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and lead our front-of-house team to success.

  • Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house operations, including dining room and lounge bar.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of food and beverage service
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and responsible alcohol service practices
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain menu knowledge and communicate specials to staff and guests
  • Assist in organising and executing special events and promotions
  • Stay informed about Brisbane's dining trends and local food regulations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food and beverage service, with proven supervisory experience in a luxury hotel 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
  • Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Current Food Safety Certification and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in cash handling and basic financial reporting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of French cuisine and wine (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Brisbane's dining scene and local food regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
