Job Description

The FIT & Groups Reservations Agent turns dreams into reality by building strong, proactive relationships with our guests. You are bright, personable, and solutions‑focused, helping guests seamlessly complete their bookings with us. With in‑depth knowledge of our hotel offerings and Auckland’s city highlights, you confidently upsell and cross‑sell to create memorable guest experiences. Your loyalty‑driven mindset allows you to quickly identify VIPs and ALL members, tailoring your service to strengthen our relationships with these valued guests..

  • Accurately process and input hotel reservations into RESAWEB and Opera, with a focus on individual and group bookings.
  • Quote, book, and manage all group reservations in a timely manner, with particular emphasis on Inbound Leisure Groups and MICE bookings.
  • Review and maintain guest history records, including merging guest profiles for FIT and Group bookings.
  • Maximise revenue through effective upselling during guest interactions.
  • Process weekly commissions accurately and on schedule.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly with professionalism, warmth, and a welcoming tone.
  • Build rapport quickly by introducing yourself and inviting guests to share their requests, questions, or concerns.

Qualifications

Whilst talent and attitude are our primary requirements, you can confidently say yes to the below selection criteria:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated experience in client liaison
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, Opera Cloud and RESAWEB
  • A natural ability to manage conflicting deadlines and work well under pressure
  • The right to work in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months 
  • Fluent in English, excellent communication and a great phone manner.

Preference will be given to candidates with reservations experience.
