The hotel also features the amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Cafe, & Sixteen Antlers Rooftop.

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the role will oversee the operations of the hotel, as well as champion the guest and employee experience, with the support of the leadership team, for driving engagement with guests, visitors, colleagues and the community. 

  • Previous experience as Operations Manager or Hotel Manager
  • Be able to manage and inspire, both people and all aspects of the hotel operations.  Including Food and Beverage venues, Conferencing and Room Operations as well as Housekeeping and Engineering.
  • A passion for supporting team members in building a career within the hotel and wider Accor group
  • Proven ability to combine your great operational skills and team empowerment through your daily interactions
  • Be able to handle fast passed multiple layered environment with a cool calm exterior
  • Proactively manage and influence key stakeholders to achieve mandated outcomes and phenomenal experiences
  • Drive exemplary and “real” experiences whilst creating loyalty and recognition for the Pullman and Mercure brands
  • Be able to deliver on not only our brand standards, but also on our class leading external facing venue experiences for our visitors to the property
  • Proactively maximise profitability in all areas with and entrepreneurial mind set to exceed property budgets with a balance on creating memorabile daily experiences

Be able to be an inspirational personable and operationally driven leader that truly wants this role to be their pathway to a future GM role  


Qualifications

  • A genuine passion and motivation for the hospitality industry.
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills with a positive, “can do” attitude
  • Ability to coach, mentor & develop your team to achieve the collective goal
  • Business & financial acumen
  • Ability to understand & influence the key metrics that impact Food and Beverage and Rooms whilst continuing to the grow our business. Using this knowledge to drive sustainable revenue opportunities, and to motivate your team to do the same
  • Ability to proactively manage and lead the property in the absence of the General Manager
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders inside the property and out
