Dry Cleaner

Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10-minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

As a Dry Cleaner you are responsible to ensure that laundry service, required by our Guest is done on time and with the highest possible standards.

What you will be doing: 

• Ensure that Guest service is met on time and those urgent requirements are done promptly
• Check all items for dry cleaning are correctly marked
• Check and test garments for color fastening
• Check for any damage prior to dry cleaning process
• Refill chemicals, clean filters and service the machines
• Check, sort, segregate and test each article prior to dry cleaning
• Operate dry cleaning machine and press to ensure a high standard of dry cleaning and the correct operations are employed
• Loading and unloading of Dry Cleaning machines with correct loads
• Ensure the proper operation of all machinery employed and report any defects
• Carry out pressing, spotting and finishing of all garments
• Keep work area clean, neat and tidy
• Deliver finished articles to Valet according to the procedures
• Change padding on machines when necessary
• Assist and train other Laundry Employees in the process of dry cleaning
• Report any loss or damage of fixtures to Superior
• Assist in inventories
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

• Previous experience in hotel industry is preferred.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Ability to promote positive relations with all hotel guests & colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
