Job Description

We are seeking a professional and friendly Doorman to join our esteemed hospitality team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers, Qatar. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience from the moment they arrive at our establishment.

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor, assisting them in and out of vehicles
  • Open doors for guests, paying special attention to children, elderly, and individuals with disabilities
  • Manage vehicle parking procedures, coordinating with valet staff as needed
  • Stay informed about hotel facilities, local attractions, and current events to provide accurate information to guests
  • Assist with luggage handling, ensuring safe and efficient transport to and from guest rooms
  • Direct and control traffic flow at hotel driveways to maintain safety and order
  • Collaborate with security personnel to implement and uphold safety procedures
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously
  • Assist with valet parking duties when required, including issuing tickets and retrieving vehicles
  • Maintain a clean and organized entrance area
  • Report lost and found items according to established protocols
  • Adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service at all times

Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with luggage
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm, courteous demeanor
  • Proven track record of reliability and responsibility
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver's license for occasional valet parking assistance
  • Familiarity with local customs and etiquette in Doha, Qatar
  • Multilingual skills are highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
