Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team in Kooddoo, Maldives. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling costs across our organization, ensuring financial efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track expenses and identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze financial data, prepare detailed cost reports, and provide insights to management
  • Monitor budget variances and investigate discrepancies, recommending corrective actions when necessary
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate budgets and forecasts
  • Perform regular cost analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accurate tracking of expenses
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs
  • Support the development of pricing strategies by providing accurate cost information
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar cost control role
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting techniques
  • Advanced skills in Excel and experience with financial management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with materials control and inventory management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work in a remote island setting in the Maldives
