Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Assistant to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department by managing various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records.

  • Verify and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
  • Implement control measures to prevent duplicate accounting or payments
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations with precision
  • File paid invoices securely and maintain organized financial documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of GST reconciliations and other tax-related tasks
  • Support month-end reporting processes and contribute to financial analysis
  • Manage department budgets by tracking invoices and expenditures
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial operations
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or actively pursuing a relevant financial qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and calculations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax regulations is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
