Your vision and leadership as Conference Services and Catering Coordinator will ensure an engaged team, efficient operations – and service that exceed the expectations of every client.
Competitive Salary: $55,000-$58,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Conference Services, responsibilities and essential job functions include but not limited to the following:
- Maintain good working relationships with all departments
- Ensure that the equipment and general work area is maintained to a high standard, including desks, filing cabinets and supplies
- Conduct follow up preparation of information concerning all catering and conference related functions for hotel staff (preparation and delivery)
- Answer direct telephone inquiries or redirect inquiries to proper individuals
- Coordinate all internal meetings and internal function, complete banquet event orders accordingly, and coordinate all People and Culture Events.
- Provide information to the public regarding booking conventions, catering functions and weddings
- Be responsible for ordering stationary supplies for the department
- Assist the Director and Managers in the department in producing agendas, handling inquiries and files
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience is an asset
- Experience in an office setting is an asset
- Hotel/Hospitality Management program an asset
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Sales & Catering experience an asset
- 60 wpm typing
- Be able to work in a fast paced work environment and be able to multitask
- Strong communication skills – written and spoken are essential
- Adaptable to change
