Job Description

The Cluster Director of Sales for Hotel MOVENPICK Sharm El Sheikh and Hotel Mercure Hurghada is responsible for leading and managing the sales teams at both properties. This role involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, enhance market share, and ensure the financial success of both hotels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management within the hospitality industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the regional market.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for both hotels to achieve revenue targets.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges.
Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies.


Team Leadership and Management:

Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales teams at both properties to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Coordinate sales activities across both hotels to ensure consistency and synergy.


Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base and increase revenue.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, corporate partners, and other stakeholders.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotels and generate leads.


Revenue Management:

Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to develop pricing strategies, optimize room inventory, and maximize profitability.
Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet revenue objectives.
Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, outlining achievements, challenges, and future plans.


Marketing and Promotion:

Work closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns and sales initiatives.
Ensure consistent and effective communication of the hotels' value propositions to target markets.
Oversee the creation of sales collateral, presentations, and other marketing materials.


Customer Relationship Management:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality and guest experience.


Budgeting and Financial Management:

Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve targets.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality and effectiveness.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
A minimum of 7-10 years of sales management experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on luxury or upscale properties.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in sales and CRM software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Deep understanding of the regional market, including key segments, trends, and competitive landscape.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.

Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent travel between Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada.
