Bartender

• Responsible for overall supervision, planning, controlling and coordination of all activities of the assigned outlet.
• Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, and guest service.
• Monitor and supervise service flow in the assigned outlet.
• Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating and serving a wide range of beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks
• Create signature cocktails and recommend drink options to customers
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Take customer orders and process payments accurately
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed
• Verify customers' age and practice responsible alcohol service
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service operations
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
• Assist in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons

• Prior experience as a bartender or in a similar role, preferably in an upscale establishment
• Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixology techniques, and current beverage trends
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills in English and local languages
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Food safety certification (equivalent to Food Handlers Card in India)
• Bartending certification (equivalent to MAST Permit in India) preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and presentation

• Responsible for daily administration, meeting and greeting, dealing with guests’ queries and complaints, and booking rooms. visitors
• Maintain high standards of customer services at the Reception desk so that customers’ expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Motivate and develop Reception team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
• Any matter which may affect the interests of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach should be brought to the attention of the Management.
