The Assistant Hygiene Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, supervision, and implementation of hygiene and sanitation programs throughout the hotel. The role involves conducting inspections, monitoring cleaning procedures, training staff, maintaining hygiene records, and supporting audits to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily hygiene and sanitation operations.
- Ensure proper implementation of cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections and audits.
- Monitor safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Train employees on hygiene, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Work with operational departments to minimize contamination risks.
- Maintain hygiene documentation and compliance records.
- Support investigations of hygiene-related complaints or non-conformities.
- Supervise hygiene staff and external cleaning contractors.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Help improve hygiene standards and operational processes continuously.
What will you bring to this role?
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Food Technology, Environmental Health, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in hygiene, sanitation, or food safety roles.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
- Leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
