The Hoxton Poblenou in the city of Barcelona is our 11th Hoxton. The hotel boasts 240 bedrooms of different sizes, a large restaurant Four Corners with The Slice shop and La Bodega, a rooftop pool and our taqueria Tope, a bright and airy lobby, a multi-functional basement events space and The Apartment (our unique meetings & events concept). 

Four Corners brings the energy and attitude of New York with quick slices of thick crust, Detroit-style pizza at The Slice Shop or lighter Italian-American inspired dishes, perfect for a long lunch or dinner that rolls into late-night cocktails and natural wine. 

Tope is our rooftop taqueria with views over Barcelona, serving Mexican-inspired flavours and punchy cocktails. 


Job Description

What you’ll do…

  • You will ensure all our guests feel they are treated as individuals and will want to return.
  • Leading and motivating a team of high-energy people who genuinely care about guest experience, helping to set goals, coach performance, and create a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Assist the FOM monitoring departmental costs and support the management of expenses in line with budget guidelines.
  • Ensure that all hotel standard operating procedures are trained and adhered to, also pro-actively identifying opportunities to improve and enhance processes and procedures.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration between front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B teams.
  • Be confident and knowledgeable in all health and safety procedures and support their consistent implementation.
  • Act as part of the hotel crisis and fire response teams, ensuring familiarity with all relevant procedures.
  • Deliver consistently high levels of customer service to both guests and internal teams, helping to build strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Support the sales and events team with site inspections and maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities.
  • Step in to lead shifts and manage the front office operation in the absence of the Front Office Manager.

  • You have experience in a similar role, or as an Assistant looking for further development with a demonstrable track record of excelling in front office operations and procedures.
  • You have experience of Micros Fidelio Opera or a similar property management system.
  • You have experience of monitoring and implementing health & safety procedures.
  • You will be required to work flexible shift patterns which will include days and nights, weekdays, and weekends to support the duty management team, as and when required.
  • A natural at leading and managing others, you lead by example and create an environment where your team can be their best self.
