Reporting to the Chief Engineer, As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will be in charge of all hotel maintenance concerns, including daily maintenance checks and mechanical equipment repairs, in order to provide a great guest and member experience. An Assistant Chief Engineer will also be required to oversee renovation projects and create emergency plans. Specifically, you will be responsible for accomplishing the following tasks with the highest standards:

• Manage hotel maintenance issues 
• Conduct daily checks 
• Follow lift emergency procedures rules 
• Repair mechanical equipment 
• Foster positive customer relationships 
• Maintain safe hotel fixtures and fittings 
• Respond to any unsafe situations.
• Conducts routine inspections of the entire building including mechanical areas.
• Supervises the implementation of all maintenance contracts.
• Carries out fire brigade duties as required.
• Initiates energy and water conservation plans, as per Accor’s environmental charter.
• Responds quickly to guest request / complaints ensuring courteous, professional service.
• Ensures that health, hygiene and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the hotel in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures set by the Dubai Municipality
• Responsible for directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in all Engineering activities

• College graduate or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
