HVAC Technician

Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

As a HVAC Technician you are responsible for installation, maintenance, reparation, and replacement of air conditioners, climate control systems, heating equipment, ventilation units, and refrigeration equipment.

What you will be doing: 

• Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous operations, guest and owner satisfaction.
• Operate, maintain, repairs and does necessary adjustment of the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment such as Chillers, AHUs, FCU’s, Split A/C Units, Window A/C Units, Cold rooms. Coolers, Ice machines, Extract fans and all the HVAC related equipment.
• Executes energy saving to reduce the energy cost in line with our sustainability policy.
• Performs preventive maintenance work, such as servicing of motors and air-conditioning and refrigerators as per the maintenance schedule and maintains service / history reports.
• Responding immediately for any emergency request for fire alarm, water flooding, gas alarm etc.
• Maintain buildings, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities.

• Previous experience in a similar position is desired
• Experience is the hospitality industry is preferred
• Trade Certificate in R/AC and Refrigeration engineering is preferred
• Conversant in English is am advantage
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as a part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility in terms of shifts working hours

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
