Job Description

  • Set annual budgets and implement strategies effective for achieving set targets.
  • Provides professional and courteous service at all times.
  • Participates and leads the rate and inventory initiatives, including but not limited to participating in franchise revenue management service.
  • Identify business trends and marketing opportunities that can improve the hotel’s performance.
  • Continuously solicit for new business that expands client base using action plans focused on the market segment and set forth proposals to the Director of Sales & Marketing monthly and quarterly.
  • Prospecting and growing an account list, handling incoming leads and closing sales that covers all segments of the hotel but in focus on MICE,
  • Work closely with other sales associates at hotel level and calling in on important customers and establishing multiple levels of contacts within the customer’s organization.
  • Monitor opportunities for community involvement and strive to maintain high profile of the hotel within the hospitality sector
  • Oversees all hotel and franchise field-marketing initiatives.
  • Meets with and maintains rapport with individuals and contacts in order to produce groups and/or convention business, to include Guest room, meeting space, services and Catering/Banquet sales for both the group and transient markets.

  • Buys and places all hotel advertising within the guidelines and budgetary requirements as stated in the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Schedules group rooms, conventions and business group activities at the hotel.
  • Oversee with the revenue manager online distribution direct and indirect channels and handle all relationships with OTA’s.
  • Assists the General Manager in the creation and update of the hotel's marketing plan and budget.
  • Maintains good rapport with area business leaders and local civic groups and companies.
  •  Ensures sales activities meet or surpass profit plan.
  • Increase market share based on disruptive innovation and strategizing.
  • Be involved in screening of new associates as required
  •  Responsible for an assigned sales target in accordance to Cluster segmentation - Work closely with each salesperson, identify opportunities and ways to maximize and exceed personal, and team revenue goals.
  • Develops and implements sales and marketing strategies.
  • Increase market share based on disruptive innovation and strategizing.
  • Attends and present data, as requested at all meetings with management company and ownership groups for the hotel.
  • Attend tradeshows, travel functions, major business functions or as required/ with or as directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Manages the hotel sales and marketing plans by recommending growth efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the hotel is competitively positioned within the local marketplace.
