Located in vibrant, multi-cultural South Auckland, The Sebel Auckland Manukau has beautifully appointed apartment style rooms and is situated near shopping precincts and arterial routes.

A great opportunity within the Finance team has arisen and we are seeking a detail oriented, process driven individual with long term thinking looking to build a career with Accor to join The Sebel Manukau team in the role of Accounts Receivable in a permanent part time role (25-32 hours). You will be responsible for the hotel debtor function, including invoicing, payments and collection. You will also need to review and monitor the Hotel's daily audit reports and daily banking.


Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for;

  • Monitoring outstanding debtors; ensuring debtors pay within the terms set out under their credit application.
  • Processing credit applications where all requested criteria have been met.
  • Processing and reconcilement of front office banking.
  • Ensuring invoices sent out are accurate and on time.
  • Promptly resolving queries from debtors as/when they arise.
  • Ensuring any purchases by customers on credit are invoiced accurately and despatched to the customers promptly.
  • Ensuring payment is received from debtors within payment terms and conditions.
  • Reconciliation of debtor ledger to general ledger.

Qualifications

In this role you will need to have;

  • Previous accounts experience with a minimum of 12 months, hotel environment preferred.
  • Exceptional skills in being process driven and having attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in processing high volumes of data entry.
  • Excellent computer literacy including working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera.
  • The ability to work autonomously.
  • The ability to operate with complete professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent written and numeracy skills and be articulate in communication.
  • Exceptional grooming.
  • The ability to handle and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
