Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team in Mercure Hyderabad KCP, India. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department's daily operations and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.

  • Assist with customer invoicing processes and maintain accurate billing records
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and report discrepancies
  • Support the maintenance and review of Customer & Supplier Master Data
  • Collaborate with the Credit Control team to follow up on outstanding payments and agree on payment dates
  • Assist the procurement team with approval delegation and documentation
  • Prepare and maintain various financial reports and statements
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Contribute to the improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Respond to accounting-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Accounts Assistant position
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and reporting standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive outlook with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required
