About the role:

• Full Time, Part Time OR Casual role available
• You will be supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through food preparation and dishwashing
• Be responsible for providing the highest level of attention to all aspects of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Kitchen, including but not limited to cutlery, crockery and commercial equipment
• Recycling and removal of rubbish
• Assisting Chefs with basic food preparation as required (eg peeling, chopping, portioning)
• Unpack, store and organise food deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and food storage areas
• Adhere to all sanitation and chemical use guidelines.
• Follow and adhere to all HACCAP hygiene, Food Safety and WHS requirements.

A bit about you:

You may have previous experience in a similar fast paced environment. This is a very busy role. Regardless of your level of experience, there are a few things that would make you shine in this role, which include:

• Great energy and a “Find the YES!” positive attitude.
• Good time management skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to multi task will be essential to this role
• Professional, well-groomed appearance, demonstrating pride in presentation.
• Flexibility and ability to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and Public Holidays
• Experience in a similar role is ideal
• You might be a Commerical Cookery Student, looking to gain some practical experience
• You hold valid working rights for Australia

The Must-Haves

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A strong work ethic and dependability.

• Punctuality; being on time is very important.

• Good attention to cleanliness.

• Ability to follow safety rules.

• Willingness to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Previous experience in a similar job is preferred but not required.

• Training will be provided for the right candidates.
