Job Description

As an IRD Order Taker at SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, part of the All-Inclusive Collection, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and coordinating all in-room dining orders with efficiency and accuracy. You will act as the communication link between guests, the kitchen, and the service team to ensure flawless service delivery that reflects the bold and stylish identity of the SO/ brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer all In-Room Dining calls promptly and professionally, ensuring a warm and engaging guest experience.
  • Accurately record food and beverage orders in the POS system, confirming special requests or dietary requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the IRD menu, daily specials, promotions, and hotel services to confidently assist guests.
  • Upsell and cross-sell menu items and hotel offerings to enhance the guest experience.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism, escalating to the supervisor/manager when necessary.
  • Monitor and follow up on pending orders to ensure prompt delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure accuracy of guest billing, posting charges to the correct room, and maintaining transaction records.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and readiness of the IRD Order Taker’s station at all times.
  • Assist in compiling reports related to guest preferences, service times, and order trends.
  • Adhere to all SO/ brand standards, grooming guidelines, and service expectations.
  • Comply with hotel policies, including health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in F&B operations, call center, or guest service roles, preferably in luxury hotels or resorts.
  • Strong communication and telephone etiquette skills with a clear and pleasant speaking voice.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in taking and processing orders.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
