Your role 

We are looking for a warm, confident, and guest-focused Hotel Host to join our team at Manly Pacific – MGallery.

As the first point of contact, you play a vital role in creating a meaningful connection with each guest — setting the tone for an unforgettable MGallery experience. This is a dynamic, guest-facing role where you’ll work across the hotel – from the lobby to guest areas – ensuring that every touchpoint reflects the unique charm, service, and storytelling that define our brand.

As our next Host / Hostess, you will: 

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and create a positive first impression in the lobby. 

• Maintain an active presence in guest areas, offering assistance and a sense of genuine hospitality

• Move throughout the hotel, including the pool area, restaurant, and other guest spaces, engaging with guests to ensure they feel valued and cared for. 

• Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Front Office, Pool Bar, Food & Beverage) to make sure guest needs are met seamlessly throughout their stay. 

• Share local knowledge, hotel services, and personalised recommendations to enhance the overall guest experience. 

• Assist with special requests, celebrations, or tailored guest moments in line with the MGallery brand promise. 

• Support the guest journey by identifying opportunities to exceed expectations across all touchpoints. 

We would love to hear from you, if you:  

• Previous experience as a lounge host, club host, restaurant host, or in a similar guest-facing role is highly preferable

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, approachable demeanor.

• Strong customer service orientation and passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain professionalism at all times.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Basic knowledge of hotel operations (experience with Opera Cloud is a plus).

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays. 

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs. 

• A genuine passion for hospitality and local knowledge of Sydney and Manly areas is highly desirable.
