Job Description

Summary
As a Speciality Waiter/Waitress - Pool & Beach at Banyan Tree Dubai, you play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service in the pool & beach areas to achieve guest satisfaction objectives. Your friendly and attentive approach, combined with efficient service, contributes to an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.


Responsibilities 
Operational

•    Provide personalized service, ensuring memorable experiences for guests.
•    Welcome guests warmly, take orders accurately, and offer recommendations.
•    Set up tables meticulously to create an inviting atmosphere.
•    Deliver service according to standards and sequence.
•    Possess a comprehensive menu understanding to assist guests.
•    Exceed guest expectations through attentive service.
•    Offer expert advice on food selections based on guest preferences.
•    Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth operations.
•    Collaborate with stewarding and housekeeping for seamless operations.
•    Implement up-selling techniques to maximize revenue.
•    Report defects to supervisors and maintain cleanliness.
•    Handle guest complaints effectively or escalate as needed.
•    Ensure orders meet quality and presentation standards before delivery.
•    Interact professionally with guests, addressing requests or needs.
•    Develop a basic menu understanding to answer guest inquiries.
•    Maintain effective communication with kitchen and serving staff.
•    Ensure cleanliness in pool and beach areas, reporting defects promptly.
•    Perform cleaning duties to uphold cleanliness standards.
•    Manage guest complaints, escalating when necessary.
 


Qualifications

Experience/Certificates/Education
•    Previous experience in a similar role internationally or a minimum of 2 years in luxury hotel or high-end pool & beach club.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
•    Friendly and hospitable approach, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
•    Proficiency in problem-solving and handling guest inquiries with tact.
•    Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
•    Knowledge of inventory management and billing procedures.
•    Good oral proficiency in English language.
•    Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
•    Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
•    A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
•    Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team.
•    Self-motivated and energetic.
•    Maintain a clean, tidy and well-groomed appearance consistently.
