Job Description

Our Receptionist is a key position and the first point of call for our guests when they arrive. You will be checking guests in and out, handling enquiries from in house guests and helping to maintain our hotel as the busiest in town, chat with our guests to ensure a sense of welcome and belonging. You will be a guru of local knowledge to help every guest get the most out of their stay, all whilst listening out for all opportunities to wow our guests when they least expect it.

Your daily mission will include:

  • Assist guest with check in / out, information during their stays
  • Switchboard communications with the rest of the hotel operational teams (Food & Beverage, Maintenance, etc.)
  • Process / take bookings during reservations after hours
  • Attend to guest with a professional telephone manner
  • Ability to think on your feet and anticipate guests needs
  • Multitask with great time management
  • Solve problems on the spot
  • Work in a face paced environment

Qualifications

You will ideally have previous experience as a receptionist in a hotel environment, however not essential. In addition:

  • We are looking for a special someone with a passion for people and providing impressive service to join our front office team on a full time basis.
  • Computer literate.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written, verbal and non-verbal.
  • You will be an organized individual with a high attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a Reservations environment is an advantage
  • Prior use of Opera & TARS Database or similar PMS is preferred.
  • Working rights to accommodate a full time role in Australia
