Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while
  • supporting fellow Colleagues
  • Demonstrate Fairmont core values in all interactions
  • Ensure proper placement of items in the storeroom to facilitate efficient retrieval of items and physical inventory taking
  • Based on signed requisitions, pick orders from the stores and deliver to each requesting outlet
  • Keep accurate records on all issues of food, beverage and general supplies requisitions
  • Ensure orderliness and cleanliness of the storerooms
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments
  • Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal skills and organizational
  • skills
  • Demonstrate ability to safely use function-related equipment
  • Follow and ensure compliance with all corporate, hotel, departmental and safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in hotel committees
  • Perform other job related duties and projects as assigned  
  • Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).

Qualifications

 

  • Previous experience in Stores or in a warehouse environment in a luxury Hotel environment is an asset
  • Possession of a valid intermediate and heavy truck driver’s license with a clean driving record is an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Must be in excellent physical condition
  • Must be responsible and reliable
  • Should possess good organizational and communication skills

Additional Information

Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to): 

  • Walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling anywhere from 2 – 6 hours a day
  • Does not lift weights exceeding 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Requires constant repetitive motion
  • Safe operation of a heavy truck/ utility golf carts 
  • Environmental stress is high – work in extreme weather conditions, high noise
