We are looking for an Executive Visionary Leader for Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour as Front Office Manager. The ambassador should an eye for detail, a passion for creating magnifique luxury experience for our guests and developing a wonderful team.

YOUR PURPOSE: You are the hotel’s maître d’ of first impressions, seamlessly orchestrating arrivals, departures, and everything in between. You will lead the Front Office, Concierge, Portering, and Night Audit operations, ensuring each guest experience is thoughtfully curated and every interaction reflects French art de vivre.

Must have current working authorisations in New Zealand. Applications close 29th July 2025.


Job Description

 

  • Lead with Presence & Poise:
    Guide a diverse team of front office professionals with authenticity and passion, creating a culture of belonging and excellence.

  • Craft Bespoke Guest Journeys:
    Anticipate needs, personalise experiences, and delight guests - especially our VIP and returning patrons - through warm, tailored interactions.

  • Drive Luxury Service Standards:
    Champion Sofitel’s rituals of hospitality, including the Candle Ritual and curated guest welcomes, ensuring each guest’s stay is a masterpiece of memory.

  • Inspire Operational Precision:
    Manage Front Office, Concierge, Night Audit, and Portering with finesse, balancing guest satisfaction with financial performance.

  • Collaborate & Elevate:
    Work seamlessly with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Reservations to maintain a flawless guest journey from lobby to suite.

  • Be the Ambassador of the Sofitel Brand:
    Share the art of French hospitality—effortless elegance, heartfelt connection, and cultural refinement - through your leadership and presence.


Qualifications

  • Previous minimum 12 months Front Office supervisory experience, preferably within a 5 star luxury environment.
  • Previous minimum 12 months leadership skills in a 5 star setting, leading a team through a coaching approach
  • Valid Level 1 First Aid Certificate, LCQ and Manager's Licence is a bonus
  • Full NZ Drivers Licence with clean driving history is a must
  • Familiar with PMS - Opera Cloud or similar
  • Passion for high end hospitality with an absolute eye for detail and coaching skills that can influence positive change
  • Tertiary education - Hospitality Management or Business Management is a bonus
  • A demonstrated ability to build warm relationships and gain trust at all levels.
  • Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation/ interpersonal skills.
  • Organises time and work efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
