Job Description

Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing,responsible for directing, coordinatlng, training,and supervising the Group Sales Managers in all sales-related activities. Responsible for assisting inthe creation of strategies and the direct oversight of the execution of plans and tactics used to focus on increasing dlrect revenue for the property.Responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business to ensure that revenues meet or exceed budget in order to maximizerevenue and profits, and to improvethe hotel's performance in the marketplace.

  • Direct and manage all group sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel
  • Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly SMART goals, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as dlrected/required
  • Collaborate with the DOSM to develop rates, group ceilings and deployment strategles through review of competitivedata, demand analysis and mix management
  • Recruit, direct, manage, train and counselgroup sales staff.
  • Oversee departmental matters as they relate to federal, state and local employmentand civil rights laws
  • Conduct and attend business review meetings, strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/ requested
  • Supervise, administer and ensure timely completion of all activitiesof the Sales Department
  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services, Front OWice, Housekeeping and Revenue Management
  • Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP‘s, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to thosepolicies by the group sales team
  • Operate the group sales area within established sales expense budget
  • Coordinate group bookings to maximize profits
  • Monitor productionof all top accounts and evaluate trends within said mart‹et. Ensure group sales team is held accountable for those accountswithin their respective territories
  • Coordinate all non-group transient sales solicitations to maximize market mix
  • Administer training in the Sales department
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and daily IIne ups
  • Review meeting planner evaluations as received to ensure that any problems are rectified
  • Devising or modifying procedures to solve process problems that will result in more efficient
  • We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may requireus to provide lateral service.We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasksas needed in the spiritof providing exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

You are a dynamic, strategic leader with:

  • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the hospitality sector.
  • A degree in Business or a related field.
  • A strong record of exceeding revenue targets and market share growth.
  • Deep knowledge of hotel sales strategies and market trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience across multiple brands and regional markets (highly preferred).
  • A passion for people development, innovation, and partnerships.
