Job Description

The Sous Chef will oversee the kitchen operations, team and food safety with a great level of autonomy and support.

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard

  • Ensuring adherence to food hygiene practices and health and safety regulations for yourself and your team

  • Monitoring portion sizes and waste to maintain profitability

  • Collaborating with the executive chef to develop new dishes and menus

  • Managing stock levels for your station and placing orders as needed

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following industry standards

  • Assisting in the management of kitchen inventory and supplies

  • Contributing to cost control by minimizing food wastage

  • Supporting the team with events and functions


Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include culinary training and experience, with a strong focus on attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and hospitality teams.  proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. A passion for sourcing, preparing, and presenting high-quality local and seasonal produce is highly valued. Availability on weekends, holidays, and during events is required.
