The Mixologist plays a key role in delivering an exceptional and memorable beverage experience to our guests. As a skilled and creative professional, the Mixologist is responsible for crafting innovative, high-quality cocktails that reflect the hotel’s commitment to excellence. This position contributes directly to positioning the bar as a destination for distinctive and elevated drinking experiences.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hospitality or any related field. In addition, they must have at least five years of experience in high-end mixology, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale establishment. They should have demonstrated expertise in creating and presenting artisanal cocktails and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest service standards. Candidates must also possess a deep understanding of current beverage trends, a proven track record in crafting innovative cocktail menus, and excellent leadership skills.

1. Mixology Knowledge and Skills: A strong foundation in mixology is essential. The Mixologist should possess in-depth knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, classic and contemporary cocktail recipes, mixing techniques, and garnishing, along with a refined understanding of flavor balance and drink presentation.

2. Experience in High-End Establishments: Previous experience in upscale bars, luxury hotels, or reputable cocktail establishments is highly desirable. A proven track record of delivering exceptional mixology services in a premium environment demonstrates the ability to meet the expectations of discerning guests.

3. Bartending and Beverage Education: While formal education is not mandatory, completion of mixology or bartending courses, certifications, or professional training programs is an advantage. Such qualifications reflect a commitment to professional development and a solid understanding of the craft.

4. Creativity and Innovation: The Mixologist should demonstrate strong creativity in developing unique and innovative cocktails. The ability to experiment with flavors, ingredients, and techniques to create signature beverages that align with the hotel’s brand and enhance the luxury guest experience is essential.

5. Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail is required to ensure consistency in cocktail preparation, presentation, and garnishing. The Mixologist should maintain precise measurements and visual standards, ensuring every drink is crafted to perfection.

6. Multicultural Knowledge and Adaptability: Raffles Jakarta welcomes guests from diverse cultural backgrounds. The Mixologist should be familiar with international flavor profiles, cultural drinking preferences, and global cocktail trends to effectively cater to a multicultural clientele.
