Reporting to the Area General Manager, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the hotel into its next chapter - enhancing performance, guest experience, and team culture while staying true to the heart of the local community.


    Job Description

    • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations at Novotel Suva Lami Bay, ensuring alignment with Accor brand standards.
    • Drive performance across all departments - rooms, food & beverage, engineering, sales, and finance - through strategic leadership and operational excellence.
    • Lead, inspire, and empower a passionate team of Heartists, cultivating a people-first culture rooted in Fijian warmth and service.
    • Foster strong owner relations, maintain high-level industry presence, and uphold Accor’s values as the face of the property.
    • Deliver exceptional guest experiences through continuous innovation, quality service, and attention to detail.
    • Focus on financial sustainability - overseeing budgets, forecasting, revenue management, and cost controls.
    • Champion environmental, cultural, and social sustainability initiatives aligned with Accor’s Sustainability Commitments.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a General Manager, ideally in the Pacific or within a similar market.
    • The successful candidate will need to be comfortable engaging with dignitaries, local government officials, and key community stakeholders
    • Strong understanding of Fijian culture and hospitality values, with the ability to lead with empathy and respect.
    • Strong business acumen and operational leadership, with a track record of driving commercial success.
    • A passionate coach and mentor, committed to building capability, succession, and engagement across teams.
    • Confident stakeholder manager with experience working closely with ownership groups and external partners.
