Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie specializing in Italian cuisine to join our culinary team in 6th of October City, Egypt. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of Italian dishes are prepared and presented to our guests.

  • Manage and operate a designated section of the kitchen, such as pasta, antipasti, or main courses
  • Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes with precision and creativity
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and refine menu items
  • Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in your section
  • Assist in inventory management and food cost control
  • Contribute to menu planning and seasonal dish development
  • Uphold the restaurant's standards and reputation for exceptional Italian cuisine

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, preferably in high-volume Italian restaurants
  • Proven expertise in Italian regional cuisines, ingredients, and cooking methods
  • Strong culinary techniques and proficiency in preparing a wide range of Italian dishes
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with relevant certification
  • Proficient in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Creative approach to menu planning and dish presentation
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian language is a plus
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
