Job Description

As part of the global sponsorship strategy, Accor is partnering with major sports and entertainment rights holders. Accor needs to recruit expertise in the field of sponsorships to manage the relationship, deliver the rights and lead the activation of sponsorships globally.

This is a permanent role, to start immediately, reporting to the VP of Global Sponsorships and leading a team of 4-5.  It will be supported by specialist agencies as appropriate.

Key Tasks

  • Sponsorship Management
    • Lead the day to day rights holder relationship
    • Ensure delivery of contractual rights
    • Set up KPIs for the sponsorships and implement a measurement approach in line with Accor’s framework
    • Regular internal reporting to key stakeholders on progress and updates
  • Sponsorship Activation
    • Develop the activation strategy for each sponsorship in collaboration with other sponsorship leads and other business units to ensure a coherent and complementary overall approach
    • Lead the development and implementation of a global sponsorship activation programme, working with specialist agencies, appropriate Brand marketing teams, internal business units & regional hub teams.
    • Tracking & measurements of all marketing activities
  • Exploitation of new business opportunities
    • Collaborate with internal Accor BUs to identify and unlock new business opportunities for the Group through the sponsorships
  • Internal (Accor) liaison and coordination
    • Coordinate local hub activation plans & delivery
    • Collaborate with brands as appropriate
  • Management
    • Lead and develop a team of 4/5

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (BAC+4/5) – in business, marketing, communications, project management, or a related field.
  • Global sponsorship management experience (Account Director level – 8/10 years)
  • Strong project leadership & organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Curious and creative
  • Commercial acumen and experience in leading successful sponsorship activations with measurable business impact
  • Passion for, and experience in, sponsorship campaigns with Purpose (eg environmental, D&I, Social Impact) 
  • Understanding of and experience in strategic marketing
  • Relationship building and persuasion skills (influencing without authority)
  • Self starter and strong team player
  • Strong people manager (developing others)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bilingual FR/ENG
