The Island Chapter

One year later, Luura Paros Sand follows with 49 additional rooms and a collection of vibrant food and social spaces that capture another rhythm of the island.

Your Role in the Story 

The Technical Support Assistant at LUURA supports the daily operation, maintenance, and readiness of the hotel's technical systems, equipment, facilities, and back-of-house technical areas, helping ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient environment for guests, colleagues, and hotel operations. 

Working under the direction of the Cluster Chief Engineer and in close collaboration with the Engineering team and all hotel departments, the role provides prompt technical assistance, basic troubleshooting, routine checks, and support for preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the property and all F&B areas. 

This is a hands-on technical support role that requires responsiveness, practical technical awareness, organization, attention to safety, clear communication, confidentiality, and flexibility during daily operations, pre-opening activities, events, and busy service periods. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Provide daily technical support to all hotel departments, responding promptly and professionally to operational requests, as per direction of the Chief Engineering. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues related to hotel systems, equipment, facilities, and operational areas. 
• Perform routine checks, inspections, and basic maintenance of technical installations, equipment, and assigned areas. 
• Support the Engineering team with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, following instructions, priorities, and safety requirements as per daily requirements. 
• Assist with the setup, operation, testing, and troubleshooting of technical equipment required for daily operations, events, meetings, and special activities. 
• Coordinate with external technicians, contractors, and suppliers when specialized support is required, under the guidance of the Cluster Chief Engineer, and Shift Engineer. 
• Ensure all technical issues are properly reported, tracked, followed up, and handed over until completion. 
• Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, incidents, faults, repairs, completed work, equipment checks, and pending actions when required. 
• Support hotel & all its F&B areas during events, meetings, and special activities requiring technical assistance as per the guidance of the engineering team. 
• Follow all safety procedures, operational standards, LUURA policies, and local regulations during all technical activities. 
• Assist in maintaining technical areas, tools, spare parts, materials, and equipment in a clean, organized, safe, and good working condition. 
• Remain flexible to support additional operational requests from the Cluster Chief Engineer and the Cluster General Manager. 

Who We’re Looking For

• Technical qualification or vocational diploma in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in technical support, maintenance, engineering, facilities, or a similar operational role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Previous hotel or pre-opening experience will be considered an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, building systems, and general maintenance procedures.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic technical and operational issues efficiently.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance, safety standards, and proper use of technical tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a practical, proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently when required while also cooperating effectively as part of the Engineering team.
• Physically capable of performing general technical and maintenance duties safely, including lifting, climbing, and working in operational areas when required.
• Good communication skills and ability to report technical issues, completed tasks, and pending actions clearly to supervisors.
• Flexible, reliable, and willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, or additional hours according to operational needs.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Greek or additional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Eligible to work in an EU country.
