Based in Madrid and reporting to the Vice President Design & Technical Services, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Accor's hotel portfolio across Iberia, Greece, Malta, the UK, DACH, and the Nordics.

As Senior Design Manager, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of new developments, renovations, and rebranding projects, ensuring every project reflects Accor's brand standards while meeting operational, technical, and commercial objectives. Working at the intersection of design, architecture, and hospitality, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to bring outstanding hotel projects to life from concept through opening.

What will you do?

• Lead and oversee hotel design projects from feasibility through construction, pre-opening, and hotel opening.
• Partner with owners, architects, interior designers, consultants, and project managers to ensure projects meet Accor's brand standards, operational requirements, and budget objectives.
• Review architectural layouts, design concepts, technical documentation, FF&E specifications, and consultants' proposals, providing recommendations throughout each project phase.
• Prepare design briefs, technical reports, meeting minutes, and project recommendations for both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with Development, Operations, Marketing, Technical Services, and other internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Build trusted relationships with owners and project teams, acting as a key advisor throughout the design and construction process.
• Stay up to date with hospitality design trends, technological innovations, and Accor brand standards to continuously enhance project quality.
• Travel regularly across Iberia and other European countries to attend workshops, site visits, sample room reviews, and pre-opening inspections.

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Brings 8+ years of experience in hospitality design and project management, ideally within an international hospitality company.
• Has at least 3 years of experience managing client relationships throughout the design and construction process.
• Has proven experience managing projects through all phases, from feasibility and concept design to construction documentation and hotel opening.
• Demonstrates strong project management skills and is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Is proficient in CAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and 2D/3D design software.
• Builds strong relationships and communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, owners, consultants, and external partners.
• Thrives in an international, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
• Is fluent in English and Spanish.
